Red PSM Flags led the way to all the guest from the Federal Highway to the dinner venue at Dewan Sivik Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya today. Tonight was a successful fund raising dinner attended by about 800 over people from all over the country. Besides the red flags around the hall, banner of prominent past leaders was also put up in the hall. Pictures of Ahmad Boestamam, Lim Ching Siong, Veerasenan, Ganapathy, Dr.Burhaniddin Helmi decorated the pillars of the Banquet Hall.
Pagi ini, kami mendapat berita bahawa Pak Abu Samah telah meinggal dunia kira-kira pukul 5 pagi (waktu Thailand) di Hospital Sungai Golok.
Seluruh kepimpinan Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) sedih atas berita ini dan ingin merakamkan ucapan takziah kepada keluarga allahyarham dan juga kepada kawan-kwan seperjuangan beliau.

This morning, Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) held a press conference to address the seriousness of the financial crisis and called on the Government to take drastic steps to protect the workers and the poorer segment of the society.
Dr. Kumar, PSM Centre Committee Member and MP for Sungai Siput stressed for the need for emergency measures to address the current crisis. PSM put forward 7 points and called upon the Federal Government and the State Government to make the necessary adjustments.
The Press Conference was called following the party’s CC meeting on Sunday where the party decided that the current financial crisis is the most central issues confronting all workers irrespective of race, nationality and religion.
Dr. Nasir Hashim, Chairperson.and S.Arutchelvan, Secretary General also addressed the Press Conference.
