I certainly see your point about how the HINDRAF rally could be used for political mileage by those would seek to perpetuate racial segregation. On another of your comments, I am eager to know where you gleaned the figure that 50% of those involved in the BERSIH Rally were Malays who were not affiliated with either PKR or PAS. Though I was not present at the KL Rally I understand that all the marshalls were from PAS and I am also under the impression that a large proportion of those who actually made it to the rally were supporters of PAS. If your figures are accurate then this bodes well for accountability and democracy in Malaysia!
